File Content Monitoring

Hi,

We need to configure File Content Monitoring add-in to monitor the log file for Task Scheduler Windows service but we have concerns regarding the file access type from IPSentry in order to minimize the impact if the file is locked on every run.

Could you please confirm the access type is read-only mode?

Best Regards,
Kenneth

The file content monitoring addin access the file via Read+Shared mode in order to minimize the impact of other applications writing to a file.

You can further minimize impact by making the File Content monitor a dependent of File/Directory monitor and only perform the content monitoring when the file has been modified.   This would help to avoid accessing the file until after your task has completed and updated the file.
