How-To: Configure global default settings to be used by entries.
IPSentry allows you to configure a basic {default} device configuration as well as default alerts that will be used by many (or all) of the monitored devices. Primarily in the alerting area, many devices use identical alert settings and schedules with a few exceptions.
To configure these global default settings:
From the IPSentry active display console, select Action, Edit Devices.
Select the {default} entry and configure as desired.
Any configuration settings defined here will be used as the Default configuration for new entries. You can override this reference in the various alert configuration areas to be entry specific or point to another reference.
