MRTG Noob

Our network consultant just setup an MRTG monitoring server.  I was wondering how we can leverage this to alert us for locations that have exceeded a certain bandwidth threashold?

If you go to your MRTG web pages and view the source, you should see a set of remarks in the headers showing the various graphed values.

This is the information that is used by the IPSentry MRTG Add-in.  It retreives the web page, evaluates those values against your user define thresholds (avg, min, max) for the period and triggers alerts if the values are outside of the defined thresholds.
